Standard

Me: “What are you doing?”

Xavier: “Making a teeny tiny crossbow.”

Me: (pause) “What is this crossbow going to shoot?”

(silence)

Me: “Are you pausing because you’re still trying to figure that part out, or because you’re trying to think of an answer that won’t piss me off?”

(silence)

Me: “Throw it away.”

UPDATE: This thing is operational.  Zombie apocalypse…BRING IT.

  1. Doug in Oakland

We used to make rubber band guns when we were kids… Just don’t let him start watching the slingshot channel on Youtube.

  2. Anxious Mom

Omg awesome! My husband has denied me the opportunity of owning a cross bow for years, so maybe I’ll just make one myself 😀😀

  3. Randstein

When he’s a teenager he’ll be using 4X4 lumber, chains, pulleys, strings, wires, and lubricants and be a global smash hit on YouTube. You’ll be famous by proxy. Make sure he understands that when he gets his driver’s license that your car is NOT a moving target. You gotta get to them early… 🙂

  4. Wow sounds just like my daughter, I found her one day sharpening rocks, I said what’s the deal with the rocks, homes? She looked at me and as seriois as she could be abs and said.. Zombies.
